Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of anjana784.dev. By using this site, you accept them. They are written to be readable, not to trap you — if something is unclear, ask.
01Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using anjana784.dev (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
These terms apply to all visitors, readers, and anyone who submits a contact form message. They do not constitute a service agreement for freelance work — that is handled separately by individual contracts.
02What this site is
This is a personal portfolio and blog operated by ikrama, an individual based in Sri Lanka. The Site publishes writing on WebGL, spatial computing, and related topics, and presents professional work and research.
The Site is not a product, not a SaaS platform, and not a business offering services to the general public. It is a personal professional presence on the web.
03Intellectual property
All original content on this Site — including but not limited to writing, code, design, graphics, and the WebGL shaders running in the background — is the intellectual property of ikrama unless explicitly stated otherwise.
You may:
- Read, share, and link to any article or page on this site.
- Quote brief excerpts (a sentence or two) with clear attribution and a link back to the source.
- Reference my work in academic or professional contexts with proper citation.
You may not:
- Reproduce full articles or substantial portions of content without written permission.
- Use the site design, visual system, or GLSL shaders in a commercial product without permission.
- Present my work as your own.
- Scrape the site for training machine learning models without explicit permission.
If you want to use something and are not sure whether it is permitted, just ask. The answer is usually yes for non-commercial and educational uses.
04Permitted use of the site
You may use this Site for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its hosting infrastructure.
- Submit false, misleading, or malicious content through the contact form.
- Use automated tools to scrape or mirror the site at scale.
- Engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the site.
05Accuracy of content
The writing on this site represents my own thinking, research, and technical understanding at the time of writing. It may contain errors. It may become outdated. Technical fields move fast and some posts will be wrong in hindsight — I try to note when I update or correct something, but I cannot guarantee that every post is always current.
Nothing on this site constitutes professional legal, financial, or medical advice. Do not make significant decisions based solely on what you read here.
06No warranty
This Site is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. I do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
The site may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside my control. I am a single person running a personal site — I will do my best, but I cannot guarantee uptime.
07Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — this Site or its content.
This includes, without limitation, damages arising from errors in technical content, reliance on information posted here, or disruption of access to the site.
08External links
This Site links to external services including GitHub, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and others. These links are provided for convenience. I do not control those sites and am not responsible for their content, availability, or practices.
Linking to an external site does not imply endorsement of that site or its content.
09Freelance work inquiries
This site is used in part to present professional services and invite project inquiries. Submitting a contact form message does not constitute a contract, a commitment, or an agreement of any kind on either side.
Any freelance or consulting engagement will be governed by a separate written agreement (statement of work, contract, or equivalent) negotiated and agreed upon explicitly. These terms do not govern that relationship.
10Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from use of this Site will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
If you are accessing this site from another jurisdiction, you do so at your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
11Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
For material changes, I will note what changed at the bottom of this page.
